Hall of Famers

The Buffalo Germans was one of the first professional basketball teams. The team was started by Dr. Fred W. Berkhardt at a YMCA on the east side of Buffalo. Dr. Berkhardt completed Dr. James Naismith's Phys. Ed. class in 1891. From there, Berkhardt went to Buffalo and received a job at the YMCA. It was here that he taught this group of youngsters the game of basketball. He had tremendous success. As a junior team, they went undefeated. After the team joined the men's league, their success continued. They soon became a dominant force. Between 1908-1910, the Buffalo Germans won 111 straight games.

Even though I won't really get that much of one because I'll have to work alot this summer. But anyways...I am sooooooooooooooooooo ready to be done!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Class of '08!!!
